Tenor

Laurence has worked for a variety of professional operatic companies as a tenor. In 2026, he has twice appeared as tenor soloist for the Campden Chorus under Charles Matthews (Dvorak's Stabat Mater and a selection of operatic extracts). In October, he will be joining the Philharmonia Chorus on their professional scheme singing Bernstein's Kaddish at the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées, Paris, under Pierre Bleuse.

 In 2025, he appeared as ensemble and stand-out soloist in Longborough Fesitval Opera's UK premiere of Avner Dorman's Wahnfried. January 2025 saw Laurence sing the role of Hans Christian Andersen in a new work by Stephen Daltry, Tinderbox, and in the Autumn of 2025, Laurence took the role of Normanno in Barefoot Opera's production of Donizetti's Lucia di Lammermoor (while musically directing from the piano!). In 2023, Laurence was soloist for Haydn's Creation with Rugby Philharmonic Chorus, Box in Cox and Box with Handmade Opera, chorus for Wagner's Götterdämmerung with Longborough Festival Opera, tenor soloist for Electric Voice Theatre's 'Flowers of the Seasons Project' and consort singer with the Armonico Consort. In 2022, he covered four tenor roles for Longborough Festival Opera (Korngold's Die tote Stadt and Caccini's La liberazione di Ruggiero dall'isola d'Alcina), sang Ottokar for Random Opera's production of Webers' Die Freishutz, and been oratorio soloist for Luton Choral Society (Haydn's The Creation) and Hampton Singers (Handel's Messiah).
